【大纪元讯】根据加拿大法律，那些私自逃离车祸事故现场的驾车人，或者是肇事逃逸（Hit and Run）可能会出现2中情况。
根据案情，警察或者会根据《加拿大刑事法典（Criminal Code of Canada）》控告驾车人Fail to Stop at the Scene of the Accident，或者会根据《安省公路交通法》( Ontario Highway Traffic Act)控告驾车人Fail to Remain at the scene of the accident。
Fail to Remain at the scene of the accident是交通告票，而Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident则是刑事犯罪。
那麽驾车人在卷入车祸后应该怎麽办？《安省公路交通法》要求驾车人：停在或立即回到事发现场并尽可能的提供帮助。
违反《安省公路交通法》中的Fail to Remain at the scene of the accident处罚如下：
罚款不少于400元，不超过2000元。
监禁不超过6个月，或记6个点
吊销执照最多2年
